1. Start loving MCQs: Objective pattern of Prelims Examinations tests not only knowledge but your ability to accurately and efficiently solve MCQs in a stipulated time. So practicing MCQs is a must. Some of you might find it hard to just solve MCQs without reading a textbook, but once you solve around 1000 MCQs things will fall in place. Treat each MCQ as a learning opportunity and fall in love with them. 2. Understand the difference between solving and reading: Depending on only the bulk of information in textbooks is not a good strategy. This passive learning is not long-lasting. It will keep you few steps short. Start ‘solving’ MCQs in real-time as early as possible. Exercise your brain. 3. Make Notes: Whenever possible make notes from the MCQs. This compilation will be very helpful in revision. You should have your own notes. It is not a good practice to use your friends’ notes. 4. Don't overthink where and when to start : We have seen a lot students waiting for their coaching class or book reading to be complete before solving MCQs in a particular topic. This is not really necessary. Solving MCQs in QBank need not wait for anything. You can solve them irrespective of your preparation stage. Each MCQ has a detailed conceptual explanation for you to learn. 5. Plan for Revision: You will forget a lot. This is normal, so make sure you allow adequate time for revision. 6. Do not skip questions in a topic — The questions are selected after multiple rounds of review and only includes high yield questions. Skipping even one among them will defeat the purpose of the QBank. 7. Tackle Negative Marking — You will be making a lot of educated guesses in the real exam. So start doing that while solving Edzorb MCQs and see how you perform and improve. (Also compare with your peers) 8. Selective learning from textbooks — In an ideal world, you will want to read all textbooks thoroughly. But remember, you have many subjects to balance and limited time, so set realistic targets. Read the concise explanations on QBank, focus more on high yielding topics, and read selectively and smartly from textbooks if necessary. 9. Practice timed targets and Pomodoro: Allot yourself 25 mins of focused question attempting period followed by 5 mins break. This increases overall productivity. Timely completion of the syllabus will keep you confident. 10. Believe in you: The preparation period will be challenging, but never lose heart. Always keep your spirits up! Are you ready to start your journey?
